As part of our mission to support the Local Digital movement and community, we work closely with a number of partner organisations operating in and around local government.

LocalGovDigital

LocalGov Digital is an organisation for digital practitioners working in and around local government. Their purpose is to provide local government with a voice, improve standards in the delivery of digital services and provide opportunities to explore new ideas, learn and collaborate.

Membership is free. By becoming a member, you’ll get access to the community Slack channel, regional peer group events, and the Annual General Meeting.

Local Government Association (LGA)

The LGA is the national membership body for local authorities, working on behalf of our member councils to support, promote and improve local government.

They provide a range of practical support, on a free of charge and/or subsidised basis, to local authorities. This includes support of a corporate nature such as leadership programmes and LG Inform (their benchmarking service), as well as programmes tailored to specific service areas, such as financial and planning services.

London Office of Technology and Innovation (LOTI)

LOTI helps London boroughs to work together, bringing the best of digital, data and innovation to improve public services for Londoners.

iStandUK

iStandUK is part of the iNetwork family. Their mission is to promote Data Standards that support efficiency, transformation and transparency of local public services in the UK.

The steering board includes representatives from local authorities, government departments and other representative groups, such as the LGA, Socitm and TechUK.

Socitm (Society for innovation, technology and modernisation)

Socitm is a professional network for leaders engaged in the innovation and modernisation of public services.

Corporate membership is open to local and central government and offers access to numerous resources, including:

  • publications and research

TechUK

TechUK is a trade association which brings together people, companies and organisations to realise the positive outcomes of what digital technology can achieve.

With over 800 members (the majority of which are small to medium enterprises) across the UK, TechUK creates a network for innovation and collaboration across business, government and stakeholders to provide a better future for people, society, the economy and the planet.

By providing expertise and insight, TechUK supports their members, partners and stakeholders as they prepare the UK for what comes next in a constantly changing world.
