Buckinghamshire County Council
To understand what opportunities exist to redesign the digital elements of front door services in adult social care. This is to support the council’s move to a ‘strengths based’ approach to adult social care.
Specifically, this project will explore what more can be done to better signpost to non statutory services and to provide more empathetic user centred digital experiences. This will include understanding how users experience the current websites (https://www.buckscc.gov.uk/ and https://www.careadvicebuckinghamshire.org ), the quality and structure of content, the fitness for purpose of the current service directory and testing whether eligibility checkers and quick assessment tools can help people understand their options.
We want to build on the recent work by NHS Choices on the development of the Care and Support Guide https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/social-care-and-support-guide/ and explore how we might syndicate the content via the NHS content API.

As Commissioning Officer, Southwark Council :
London Borough of Southwark are delighted to partner with Buckinghamshire in a bid to achieve better early intervention and signposting to non-statutory services. As part of that we are reviewing our online content and systems to see how it can be improved to provide clear, helpful and meaningful information for residents.
We are keen to work with, and learn from, other areas to understand how changes in online information can improve the experience for residents, and create smoother pathways across the health and social care system.
The project is part of the development of a hub for disabled people , and a hub for older people which links with the development of social prescribing in Southwark.
As CEO founder:
I would value a conversation with you about this project. At Famiio, we have done extensive work in this area for a cross-border localgov 0-100+ family service directory and we are already in development of a localgov platform that would bring an innovative solution to exactly the challenge you describe. It would be a shame not to have a conversation and risk missing the opportunity to explore potential early-stage cross-sector collaboration.
