London Borough of Barking and Dagenham
In a Discovery Project, we were able to create a social progress index dataset at a sub ward level providing insight into a wide variety of social indicators enabling the Council to better understand community needs in a geospatial visualisation that will enable us to better target service provision .
We now want to productionise the process so that the dataset and visualisation is continually updated as the data from the various sources supporting the model change meaning that the dataset will not drift out of date and maintenance will be low cost and affordable.
We intend to do this by creating a cloud infrastructure with open APIs for data presentation to the alogorithms producing the dataset to enable other boroughs to easily create their own models at a low cost .

As Data Scientist - Sheffield City Council:
We’ve proposed a discovery in the same “data standards, sharing and modelling theme” – https://www.localdigital.gov.uk/eoi/sheffield-city-council-4/
Would you be able to contact me in the next couple of days? We could talk through our respective proposals and discuss potential collaboration. We’re open to either leading or contributing.
