Harrow Council has pushed Housing Benefit applications online enabling information to populate workflow and line-of-business systems reducing staff resource requirements.
If granted this discovery grant, we would work with neighbouring boroughs (or pan London) to replicate this functionality with Planning Applications.
Although a number of applications are submitted digitally, many are sent via paper application or email whereby indexing and vetting are a manual process. Digital submissions will enable us to process these applications more effectively not only reducing cost but also speeding up the planning process for the customer.
