Local and national government is currently operating in a time of great change. The solutions and services that we currently deliver will no longer be fit for purpose as challenges evolve.

Digital services cost on average 50X less than traditional face to face counterparts. With increasing demand and reducing budgets, going digital is key to government delivering higher standards, for less.

However with high priority immediate challenges surrounding Health and social care there is limited resource or incentive for digital leadership.

If successful, we would use the £80,000 to design a campaign including a national conference where councils, key influencers and rising stars will be recognised. The purpose is to use the campaign and the conference to share learning, best practice and engage in key round table discussions.

Recognising these innovators also takes advantage of the behavioural economics of recognition and incentivisation, inspiring them to value change and innovation by rewarding councils and key individuals for their hard work and impact on local government everywhere.
