Housing is a growing national priority, however, it is, understandably, dwarfed by the needs of national health and social care. As such, little work has been done to explore the digital “plumbing” of Housing Services.

Housing services include homelessness, social housing, private sector housing, preventative services and much more. In order to prepare for growing demand the digital foundations need to be laid down soon.

With the market for Housing IT solutions being small and bespoke there is little incentive for IT providers to resource the development needed.

For the discovery phase we would work with local providers to explore designing a system that isn’t a “black box” so teams can take control of their own data using it to better understand their sectors needs. This new understanding can support teams to enhance their services improving outcomes for our communities and reducing costs to local authorities.

The end result would be designed with sharing and scalability in mind.

Our data offers us the tools to improve. But only if we can use it. That is what we seek to do.
